Katniss Everdeen

Katniss Everdeen is the main character and narrarator of the Hunger Games. She is sixteen years old, and since her dad died in a coal accident, she has to hunt for food for her family. Her sister was chosen to be in the Hunger Games, but Katniss took her place. She is very skilled with the bow and arrow. As the games go on she becomes allies with a 12 year old girl named Rue that surprisingly reminds her of her little sister Prim back home at District 12. But this boy from her same district, Peeta was friends with her when they just met but then he joined a group of other contestants that was  trying to hunt her down. And before the games even started he even said he loved her. So what is it, does he love her and joined the group as a way to see Katniss or was he acting the whole time and actually just wanted to distract her so she will be an easy target? The ending will surprise you.
